The story

Iowa DOT’s October 15 update schedules the first westbound I-80 closure between the Southwest Mixmaster and Grand Prairie Parkway for one night: 8:30 p.m. on October 18 to 5 a.m. on October 19. Additional closures run nightly from October 27 through the morning of October 30, also from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Both windows are weather permitting. The closures allow grading and concrete pavement work.

The VES perspective

Iowa DOT’s revised schedule calls for overnight I-80 grading and concrete work October 18–19 and October 27–30, weather permitting. For crews planning similar night work, could Blue Vigil’s AL1000 overhead lighting improve visibility across the work area?

This is an updated notice of upcoming work. It does not identify a lighting deficiency or Blue Vigil equipment on the project. AL1000 overhead lighting is VES’s planning perspective for similar night work; no product deployment or visibility or safety outcome is claimed.
