The story

MN CRIME published its report on October 21. In a separate account, Saint Paul police say an officer near Arcade Street requested support from the Real Time Information Center after spotting men beside a streetlight with exposed wires. A drone observed wire being pulled, and aerial operators later shared the location of a fleeing suspect with ground officers. Police describe the response as part of their docked drone program.

The VES perspective

For teams evaluating Nightingale Blackbird, this case offers a practical drill: start with a ground observation, request an aerial check, then pass a clear location and description to the responding team. Review who requests the flight, who watches the view and who acts on the information.

Neither source identifies Nightingale or VES involvement, the drone manufacturer, autonomous operation or a prevention guarantee. Suspected conduct is attributed to police. The exact response date remains unspecified.
